A Favorite Cedar City Restaurant Is Being Torn Down… For A New Maverik

Months ago rumors started to swirl about my favorite Cedar City restaurant closing down. I called up the restaurant myself and the person told me it was just a rumor, that they weren't going anywhere. Well, only a few short months later, the rumors have become a reality.

THE CEDAR CITY SIZZLER IS GOING AWAY!

The Sizzler in Cedar City has been located on the corner of 200 North and Main Street for around 30 years! It's always been a place we've stopped when we're passing through town, and I'm not happy about it leaving.

WHAT IS COMING TO THAT LOCATION?

To add insult to injury, the place that is taking over the old Sizzler location is a Maverik gas station! I have nothing against Maverik except for the fact that they are the ones taking over a lot of my favorite places! They can't keep getting away with it!

WILL THE HOTEL BE TORN DOWN TOO?

Yes, the rumors are that the Best Western Hotel will be torn down with the Sizzler.

WILL SIZZLER FIND A NEW HOME?

There's still no word on if Sizzler will go away completely, or if they'll find a new location somewhere in Cedar City. I believe that Sizzler WILL find a new place, since it has been family owned for the past 30 years, and it's a local favorite. Where will that location be? Your guess is as good as mine. But until then, I'm going to be a moany, whiny kid until we get a new Sizzler back in Southern Utah.
