The Changing Face of Southern Utah"

If you've lived in Southern Utah, or St. George for any amount of time, you've probably had those "Wait... What used to be here?!" moments. The kind of moments where you're driving down the road and suddenly realize this shopping center used to be a wide open field that you would ride your dirt bike through! Or that random patch of desert is now the neighborhood that your cousins live in. The growth over the past 10-20 years has been nothing short of wild. Places that once felt quiet and spread out are now busy, thriving, and totally unrecognizable in our once tiny little town.

Nostalgic Restaurants: A Dine-and-Change Journey

And it's not even just about the growth... it's about all the changes that we all remember. Restaurants that we grew up loving have come and gone, and they've got new spots taking their place. Remember when Five Guys used to be a Fazoli's? How about when Cafe Sabor used to be Godfather's Pizza? Or maybe every time you drive past Zupas, you remember when it was Brick Oven Pizza, or even Shoney's before that. I mean, even the school system in St. George tells the story. Remember when it was just Dixie here? Remember when it was Dixie and Pine View, and then Dixie, Pine View, and Snow Canyon? Well now it's Dixie, Pine View, Snow Canyon, Desert Hills, and Crimson Cliffs. We've added another Costco, and soon we'll have another In-N-Out.

These photos will make you feel totally old, showing you what St. George looks like now, vs. what it used to look like back then!
