Village Baker St. George Review: Is the Hype Real?
I finally made it over to the Village Baker in St. George, and honestly, I get why people are talking about it. It’s one of those spots that feels easy with a cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and solid food that leaves you full and happy.

What to Expect at the Village Baker in St. George
First up, I tried the Chicken Salad Sandwich. Let me just say, they’re not shy about portions here. This thing was huge! Definitely not your average, deli sandwich. The bread was fresh, soft, and held up perfectly with the creamy chicken salad piled on thick. Flavor-wise? Exactly what you hope for in a classic chicken salad — simple, fresh, and really satisfying. You can also go right back to work without the threat of onion breath. It was so good!

I also had to try the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, and I’m glad I did. The crust alone is worth mentioning . It was soft, chewy, with that slightly crisp edge that just makes a good pizza. The buffalo chicken topping brought a nice kick without being over the top, and it all came together really well.

I also had a cup of Broccoli Cheese Soup. Creamy and good. But I am kinda sad I didn't taste the Twice-Stuffed Baked Potato Soup. How did I pass that up? Next time for sure!

Now… the cookies. I’m not exaggerating when I say they were the size of my face. You walk in, and the dessert display practically calls your name. I didn’t try everything (yet), but it’s safe to say I’ll be back just for the lemon bar alone.

The service was quick, even with a steady lunch crowd, and the place feels like somewhere you could easily grab a quick bite or hang out for a while. There were even a couple of business meeting going on while I was there. Good food, big portions, and cozy vibes? Absolutely. Definitely worth the trip from the other side of town. I need to come up with some sore of scoring system. But for now just know it was really good!
Village Baker Google score: ~4.2–4.6 out of 5, with positive mentions of friendly staff and fresh food. A few note slower service during busy periods.
