Full 4A Boys Bracket

The first round has one Region 9 team hosting series and that's Pine View.

Hurricane and Cedar are on the road. We'll have the Pine View series for you on ESPN 97.7.

Here's the 4A Softball Bracket where Region 9 is represented very well and we're hoping they can bring home the crown. Ridgeline has been dominant but Desert Hills had a remarkable region season and Snow Canyon and Cedar are always in the mix.

Congratulations to the Back to Back region Champion Desert Hills Thunder Softball team what a group what a year. In a stacked region to come out on top again is an amazing accomplishment. Snow Canyon Baseball Wins Region

Congratulations to Snow Canyon. Your 2024 Region Champs. That still means something to us. Incredible regular season by Coach Secrist and the boys especially with how top heavy region is this year. 

Dixie got an incredible team win on Friday. Everybody on the team had a hit. Fun way to end the region season. We all hope to see that matchup again down the road. 

After losing 3 games in a row by one run, Desert Hills exploded for 28 runs on 25 hits last weel. 

Beau Wall and Harmon Skeen went 3-3 on Friday. They had 7 extra base hits as a team.

Nobody wants to play this team in the tournament.

Boston Vest went thermonuclear last week for Dixie last week at the plate. He had 4 doubles in their series against Crimson.

Snow Canyon's Ledger Shipp hit a game winner for Snow Canyon, Damon Ence, Crew Secrist and Talan Kelly continue to rake. They're slugging .507 as a team. Dixie's slugging .503 as a team. 

Dixie's team ERA this year 1.50...that's incredible. 

Desert Hills and Pine View. Po Campbell hit a walk-off last week, Desert Hills Andrew Wilson hit a bye bye ball, and Nash Schroeder vs Haigen Reed is worth the price of admission tonight. 

Hurricane and Cedar play this afternoon. Brycen McCauley is still hitting everything in site. .449 average and 10 XBH this year.

Congratulations to Eli Allred of Desert Hills who signed this week to play basketball at Green River College.

Allred will join fellow Region 9 stars Logan Weidauer (Dixie) and Sean Felts (Crimson Cliffs).

Allred was one of the most gifted scorers in Desert Hills recent history and separated himself with his ability to make tough contested shots.

He was a three year starter for the Thunder.

We're in the home stretch of the regular season and it ends with a bang. Two top 10 matchups this week and then next week it's the top two teams in the RPI squaring off in Dixie and Snow Canyon.

All right, Larry! Weekend recap...

Dixie number one in the RPI, Ridge Erickson had five hits last week, two doubles and a triple. Braxton Yates had another triple. And Jake Andreas threw a complete game two hit shutout on Tuesday.

Dixie plays at Crimson tomorrow.

Snow Canyon won two games against Cedar. Andrew Lyon threw another gem, a one hit complete game shutout and had 10 Ks on Friday. Ryder Harrison went 4-for-4 with two doubles.

Crimson beat Pine View in two close games. Steele Barben got the win on Friday. Region Rush tomorrow. We'll see you then!

Last Weekend Recap...

Alright, Larry, Region nine recap from over the weekend...

Snow Canyon remained undefeated. They beat crews at 8 to 1 on Friday. Andrew Lion had 11 ks for the Warriors. Trey Evans had a solo home run for the Mustangs.

Desert Hills beat Cedar 11 to 8.

They had an awesome week once again, and Dixie won 8 to 2 over Pine View.

Max Orton had four ribs on Friday. Desert Hills softball is undefeated right now in region play. Riley Green went three for three with two home runs for them on Friday and this week Snow canyon and cedar battling Larry how about that match up

And don't forget the region rush tomorrow, Larry, we'll see you then.

 Alright Larry Region 9 Baseball tonight! Dixie at Pine View on Fox Sports 101-9! Dixie ranked first in the RPI at 16-2 and 4-1 in Region. They've only given up 10 runs in 5 region games. Trace Franco was 3-3 on Tuesday with two doubles. Pine View comes in ranked 8th in the RPI. Andrew Shakespeare has a 1.473 OPS! That's better than DiMaggio.

Crimson at Snow Canyon. Makaio is ballin, Darius Henderson is swinging wonderboy, and Crew Secrist got on base 5 times in the 12 inning game on Tuesday. Crimson Cliffs! Parker Andrus got his hips through Chachi Pincock, Trey, Steele, Tyler and the boys looking to get the win tonight.

Desert Hills Cedar. Dhills got the 12-0 win on Tuesday. Haigen Reed went bye bye again he's got 7?? We'll see ya at the ballpark
