Snow Canyon (16-7) at Desert Hills (12-8) - ESPN 97.7

Last Time...

When these two teams squared-off in The Jungle a few weeks ago, the Warriors held the Thunder to only 39 points.

It was the second lowest scoring output for Desert Hills this year. Their lowest scoring game was when they lost to Sky View 71-37 in their second game of the year.

Against the Warriors, Lincoln Holmes shot 4 of 12 from the field, well below his average, but made up for it by going 5 for 5 from the free throw line to finish with 15 points in the 55-39 loss in Santa Clara.

Holmes is averaging 17.6 points per game this year and is one of the most dynamic offensive weapons in the region.

Owen Mackay lead the Warriors in that game with 22 points.

Star Watch...

Boston Holbrook. If Desert Hills is going to finish this week off strong headed into the playoffs they're going to need their senior floor general to be awesome.

The Thunder have Snow Canyon tonight and then Dixie on Friday.

Holbrook is one of the toughest guards in the state and does the lunch pale, blue collar stuff that helps Desert Hills win. He's averaging 8.8 pts / 4 reb / 3 ast.

The hustle plays, 50/50 balls, leadership etc... is a given for Holbrook.

I think tonight he's gotta score in double digits and knock down a couple threes. His best game of the year was against Dixie where he scored 16 points and hit four threes. He may need to have that type of game tonight to upset Snow Canyon.

X-Factor

Bear Leavitt for Snow Canyon.

Leavitt was crucial in the Warriors' win against Dixie last week.

If he brings the same tenacity he played with in The Hangar, he'll be a problem in the paint both offensively and defensively.
