Was this inevitable? Maybe in hindsight...

But, before we get to his decision, let me start by saying:

I don't think Isaac Wilson is overrated.

He's had to deal with the same crap that Eli Manning had to deal with at Ole Miss...(older bro Peyton)

That Derek Carr had to deal with at Fresno State...(older bro David).

That Jordan Rodgers had to deal with at Vanderbilt...(older bro Aaron).

All of these guys dealt with the "he's overrated" stuff before they even got a chance to prove themselves because of the huge shadows their brothers cast.

Isaac Wilson is a 4-star player who has come up in one of the best QB factories in the west: Corner Canyon high school.

His brother Zach started the tradition there, but then Devin Brown who is now battling for a job at Ohio State...

Jaxson Dart who is the QB at Ole Miss, and I'm sure there is another one in line after Isaac leaves.

My point is, everybody who is calling this kid overrated is basing their opinion solely on the fact that he is a famous quarterback's little brother. I understand that Zach Wilson looks to be sorely overrated at this point, but let's give little bro a chance here.

Derek Carr came out of David Carr's shadow and had an awesome career at Fresno State and a much better career in the NFL than David did even though David was the number one pick in the draft.

With all of that being said...Isaac Wilson chose the Utes.

Here's what he had to say per 247 Sports:

"I've been a Utah fan since I could remember and then we made that flip with Zach, who did his thing," Wilson said, "but now I'm excited to do my thing, go back to our roots and go back to where my dad played. I couldn't be more excited to be committed to Utah." (Link to Full Article)

Big get for the Utes. We'll see if he lives up to the hype.
