Utah Sues Walmart and Wins
Utah and other states sued Walmart for misleading its delivery drivers about pay, and deceiving customers about tips going 100% to the drivers.
According to ABC4: (LINK TO FULL ARTICLE)
"Walmart’s Spark Driver Program started in 2018 and allows customers to order products from Walmart for home delivery. Spark Drivers then pick up and deliver those products. According to DPC, the app allows drivers to see base pay and any pre-determined tips before accepting a delivery.
However, Walmart has allegedly been misrepresenting pre-tip amounts, base pay, and incentive pay to drivers by splitting or changing orders after the driver accepts the offer. They have also allegedly failed to disclose full requirements for incentive pay and falsely deceived customers into thinking their full tip would go to the driver."
Utah's Legal Win: A Small Price for Justice
Utah is going to get a little over $500K in the suit.
This is really gonna show Walmart. They've got $100 million in the couch.

I'm glad Wally is having to spit out some cash though. Now my Fudge Stripes are gonna go up 17%. But good, good, let's give these employees more dough.
