Will President Trump End Daylight Savings in Utah and Nevada?

There's nothing worse than Daylight Savings Time except youth soccer.

According to USA TODAY (link to full article):

"President Donald Trump is aiming to end that process,

'"The Republican Party will use its best efforts to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, which has a small but strong constituency, but shouldn’t!" Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social in 2024. "Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation."'

Alright well DST is supposed to start on March 9th this year. Can we get something inked before then?

Anyway, it's an important tradition because those that feed all of our fat asses need to see what they're doing so honestly what are we complaining about?

Congress is checking into it though.

According to USA TODAY congressman Markey said:

“When we ‘fall back’ and lose the extra hour of daylight saving time on Sunday, we are sacrificing energy savings, crime reduction and economic benefits for darkness," Markey said in a press release in 2023. "Over the years, I’ve fought and won to extend daylight saving time—adding two months’ worth of sun to the American people’s calendar, which saves the same amount of electricity as used by over 100,000 households for an entire year. It’s past time for Congress to take up the Sunshine Protection Act and make daylight saving time permanent to keep the sun shining.”

I don't understand what any of that means but if we're gonna do the spring forward just keep it that way year around. Let me know what you think in the comments!
