See These Wild Cell Tower Designs That Would Look Great In Utah
We have grown accustomed to weird looking trees that are really camouflaged cell towers. It is hard sometimes to decide if these freaky looking trees are better than just looking at a pole with satellite hardware on it. But maybe we need to try something new.
Utilities Designed as Sculptured Art
There are some amazing cell towers out there disguised as something else. In England there is one that looks like a barren tree with just the stump still standing. In Arizona there is a giant cactus and in Colorado the cell tower looks like a roaming buffalo.
This is the right idea. Rather than some deformed tree, these cell towers are designed as art pieces that are looking for attention. In Mesa, Arizona, there are some cell towers in front of a church that are in the form of giant crosses. Perfect for a church.
Just think what you could do in Utah with the many cell towers. A recreation of the John Stockton and Karl Malone statue outside of the arena could be made cell phone tower size. You could do the same with giant Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter characters.
Austria is Taking Power Poles to a New Level
A design company in Austria has come up with some amazing ideas for power poles that track through forested areas. These artful designs would enhance the landscape and maybe even increase tourism.
This video shows a giant stag and a stork that look like an art piece. If you have to run power lines through Utah’s natural beauty, why not make it a little bit inspiring. Picture ghostly forms of animals and humans stretching to the sky and holding up power lines.

I think we need to get on this trend in the beehive state. In fact, a giant bee might be the one to start with.
