Survey Customers for the Best Retail Practices.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index surveys consumers to find out how they feel about the different stores they buy their groceries from. They look at everything from store hours to the layout and cleanliness of the store. Whether the shelves are stocked, the pharmacy and customer service. Everything you can think of that goes into your grocery buying experience they ask about.

Stores with the Highest Customer Satisfaction

They look at the largest retailers and see how they stack up. Trader Joe’s is tops with a score of 84, but Costco is just a step behind at 82. It does seem that all the stores providing groceries have increased their customer service and experience in the last couple of years.

The Huge Grocery Chain with the Lowest Score

The store with the lowest customer satisfaction score on the list has 41 Supercenters in Utah and 10 neighborhood markets. It is Walmart. Even though this huge retail chain is at the bottom, they did increase by 4% from last year.

Despite the low customer satisfaction results, plenty of us are shopping at Walmart. Especially, when we can do customer pick up and not even enter the store. I think the giant retailer will do just fine despite how people report their satisfaction.
