Randy Santel has made his living on YouTube by traveling around the world and competing in food challenges. This is where a restaurant makes a huge dish or posts your picture on the wall if you can eat one of their entrees in certain amount of time.

The Food Challenges Found in Utah

When you have a gift for packing away food like Randy, you might as well turn it into a full-time job. He has been all over the world and has millions of views for his eating. Recently he made his way up I-15 where he defeated the challenges of Utah restaurants.

He took down a 10-patty Burley Burger in Brigham City followed by a 36-inch Monster Pizza just down the street. This wasn’t on the same day as that might have made him explode. He also ate the biggest bowl of Vietnamese Pho I have ever seen in Salt Lake.

He doesn’t just eat food. He slurped down a Liberty Bell full of ice cream in Herriman. If you can come up with a food challenge, Santel will come to own it. It is fun to see a guy I have watched destroy food all over the world show up in my state.

What Are Some of the Best Food Challenges in the Beehive State?

There doesn’t seem to be a complete list of restaurants with food challenges and that’s unfortunate. I picture myself traveling from place to place becoming bloated while my picture graces the wall of fame in each place. Maybe knocking Santel's records off.

There are some discussions on Reddit that list several places that will give you a bumper sticker or a t-shirt for eating some massive amount of their food. I know I got a picture of me in a sombrero when I ate a full torta at Angelica’s in St. George.

It is good to see another YouTuber has found what our state has to offer. Nice work on owning several Utah challenges Randy and I’m glad you didn’t get a fork or something stuck in your throat.
