Try This Simple Chicharron Salad Saver Utah
There are many grocery store options popping up—big ones, little ones, and especially healthy alternative stores. There are two issues I have with some of the healthy alternative stores, the first has to do with their product. I mean most of the items are great, but there are some options—especially the sweets—that taste a little like visiting your aunt who has sworn off sugar. One of the options noted was Chicharrónes, which are pork rinds that are made in animal fat that is good for you—or at least better than some other snack options.
Inspired by this news, I have become a new connoisseur of the chicharron. I have tried several options. Some have made me feel like I am back in the health store. Some flavors are pretty good, but I still struggle with the texture and taste of the chip itself.

Suddenly, the chicharron went from a standalone snack to a recipe ingredient, and my mind is abuzz with different ideas. You could add it to the top of soup, like a cracker; top a gooey potato dish instead of corn flakes; mix them into an omelet—and the ideas just keep coming! So get creative with your chicharron, and let's see some healthy option accoutrements.
