There has been a lot said about not being offensive at Thanksgiving dinner. How you should avoid controversial topics that will raise a stink. What hasn’t been addressed are the foods you’ll find at the table that will make you smell unattractive.

Foods That Contain Sulphur Will Release It Through Your Pores

Nobody needs to tell you that onions and garlic are going to make you smell like something is off. That is because of the sulfur released, but you may not realize cruciferous veggies will do the same.

That would be cabbage, brussels sprouts, and broccoli. There is a reason your mom told you to eat these vegetables as they are rich in the good vitamins and minerals. Unfortunately, they also give you that dose of Sulphur that shows up in your sweat and other fluids.

This Staple of Thanksgiving Will Be Hard to Avoid

In smell tests, people found the body odor of people who eat a lot of meat to be intense compared to a more attractive and pleasant smell from those who ate little to none. I assume they weren’t downing the Sulphur containing veggies either.

Maybe just balance the turkey with some fresh fruit. This is a food that gives you an attractive smell. Just avoid any fish, that would be weird at the feast, and don’t down too much asparagus.
