On the Washington City Police Facebook page, they warned residents about leaving cars unlocked and garage doors open. They also recommend keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity where you live.

I didn’t recognize them, and they were watching me closely. I don’t have anything in the garage worth stealing, but I realized I was possibly attracting opportunists into the area with my behavior. Since then, I have been more conscious of shutting the garage.

I hate that I feel the need to bolt and shut doors in such a great place to live. I feel like it is necessary to remove the temptation, but I don’t like it.
