The sun dial has turned from high to just a little below high. What happened? It seemed like for a few days the heat was dropping and we were getting ready for cozy weather then the temperatures rose along with our frustrations. So, what to do?
Reset your timer. This trick is as simple as rethinking. Instead of feeling drained from a long hot season, look to this Indian summer as its own season. What would you do if you had a short less hot summer gifted to you?
Here is a list of ideas:
Have an evening picnic: It gets cool enough after sunset and this can be a fun time to start getting out.
Take a lunch break swim: The pool might be a little cooler if it is warmed by the sun, but it can be fun to enjoy a short dip as a side dish to your lunch. Keep it short so it feels different then your "camping at the pool or lake" summer events.
Read a book, finish a project: This one doesn't have to do with the temperature as much as the time the season will take to change. It's like nature has set a timer for you and you can use it to try and accomplish something before the season changes.
