CEO Dara Khosrowshahi of Uber is probably frustrated with a few states including New Jersey and Utah for one key reason.

When talking about the difficulty in earnings for Uber Khosrowshahi pointed out that the pandemic really hit them hard. In fact, during 2020 Uber lost 14% of its business. No surprise there because we were all trying to not travel, but the recovery has been difficult for Uber because many businesses and employees realized they could continue working from home even after the quarantine months were over.

The lack of commuters has taken its toll on Uber and Khosrowshahi  is hoping that some of us will get back into our old pre 2020 routine and get to work already.

So why might Khosrowshahi be looking to blame Utah?

Guess who just happens to lead out as far as working from home? Here is the list of the top 5 states.

#1 is New Jersey
#2 just happens to be Utah
#3 Delaware
#4 Maryland
#5 Washington DC

Essentially, we are on the hit list for Khosrowshahi. He pointed out that employees working from home has caused them to lose some of their regular customers. If you get a call from your local Uber driver wondering where you have been that might be why.

Just out of curiosity, I wonder why Utah is so high on the list when the rest of the heavy's are in the northeast?

Anyway, we are making it hard on Uber, so maybe we can help them out by using Uber eats more regularly, I mean who wants to cook when working at home?
